Bentenson Rites

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, for Andrew Bentenson, 74, who died at the Canton- Inwood hospital on June 4, following a ten-day illness.

Andrew Bentenson was born in Norway on June 3, 1879, and came to the United States when 21 years of age. He farmed for a number of years in the Canton and Inwood vicinity. When he retired due to ill health, he made his home with the Hans Medalen family, northwest of Inwood.

Pastor B. H. Habel officiated at the funeral rites and burial was in Our Savior church cemetery. Pallbearers were Emil Larson, Jens Thorson, Omar Severson, Joseph Hanson, Adolph Severson and Nels Josal.

Survivors are eight cousins, Mrs. John Weberg, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Thea Olson, Zumbrota, Minn.; Mrs. Mary Paulson, Faribault, Minn.; Mrs. Trena Nerrison, Mrs. Louise Medalen, Mrs. Clara Medalen, Mrs. Sophie Olson and Mrs. Lena Moen, all of Inwood. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
