Elton Twedt, 80, of Lancaster, Calif., died Saturday, April 24, 1999. Interment was in California.

Mr. Twedt was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Lyon County. He attended high school in Larchwood. He joined the marines in January 1942. After his discharge, he farmed in the Canton, S.D., area several years. He later moved to Lancaster where he was employed at Edwards Air Force Base until his retirement due to health reasons.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine; one son, Kenneth; one daughter, Donna; two grandchildren and one brother, Russel of Larchwood.
