Gerdina Van De Kieft, 90, of Inwood died Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Thursday at First Reformed Church, Inwood, with interment in Richland Cemetery.
Gerdina Meerbeek was born April 10, 1913, in Woudenberg, Holland, the daughter of Alexander and Gerdina Meerbeek. She came to the United States in 1926.

On Aug. 31, 1932, she married Frank Van De Kieft. They lived in California until moving to Rock Valley in 1939. They lived in Crooks, S.D., and Larchwood before moving to a farm northwest of Inwood. They retired in 1972 and moved into Inwood.

Her husband died June 7, 1992. In November 2001, she moved to Fellowship Village.

Survivors include one son, Frank Jr. "Mike" of Canton, S.D.; three daughters, Mrs. Case (Alice) Van De Stroet of Canton, Mrs. Hank (Jozena) Van De Stroet of Bishop, Calif., and Mrs. Bob (Delores) Sullivan of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one grandchild, Gene Van De Stroet; two brothers, Hank and John, and two sisters, Cora Van De Kieft and Grace Van Beek.
