Emil Wulf, 88, of Larchwood died Monday, April 28, 2003, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Thursday at Apostolic Christian Church, Lester, with interment in the Larchwood Cemetery.

Mr. Wulf was born March 21, 1915, near Lester, the son of Albert J.A. and Maria (Knobloch) Wulf. He grew up and attended country school in the Lester and Larchwood area. He worked on the family farm and later as a hired hand. In the fall of 1935, he moved to Wyoming, Ill., to do farm work for relatives. In 1936 he returned to the family farm.

On April 26, 1939, he married Elizabeth Moser in Morris, Minn. They farmed near Larchwood until moving to Morris for two years, returning to the Larchwood area. They retired and moved into Larchwood in 1977.

His wife died Nov. 5, 2000.

He was a member of Logan Township School Board.

Survivors include nine sons, Leo, Robert, Kenneth and Donald, all of Larchwood, Ronald of Sioux Falls, Clifford of Lennox, S.D., Ray of Gillette, Wyo., Floyd of Herrick, S.D., and Lloyd of Casper, Wyo.; two daughters, Mrs. William (Helen) Sharp of Neshkoro, Wis., and Mrs. Lynn "Mike" (Betty) McDonnell of Highmore, S.D.; 48 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Wilhem and Jacob, both of Lester, Leonard of Morris and Lawrence of Larchwood, and four sisters, Karoline Doorneweerd of Hills, Minn., Amelia Roeman of Inwood, Mildred Sauder of Morris and Leah Doorneweerd of Beaver Creek, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Emma Wulf and Marilyn Luthi, and one grandson, Wade Wulf.
