Emil Serck, 100, of Inwood died Friday, April 18, 2003, at Canton-Inwood Hospital

Services were Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood, with interment in Richland Cemetery.

Mr. Serck was born April 28, 1902, in rural Sioux County, the son of Nick and Lena (Reimers) Serck.
On June 19, 1935, he married Elvera Pedersen in Sioux Falls, S.D. They farmed in Sioux County and later south of Inwood, retiring in 1967. In 1972, they moved into Inwood. He became a resident of Fellowship Village in Inwood in December 2002.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Glenn of Inwood; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Dorothy) Elbert of Hills, Minn.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Herman and Albert, and three sisters, Mary Hanzen, Clara Wiese and Amanda Schroeder.
