Mrs. H.C. Penman

Mrs. Henry C. Penman who had been ill of peritonitis for about a week, died at the home of Mrs. C.G. Anderson Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock.

Funeral services will be held at the Anderson home tomorrow, (Friday), afternoon at 2 o'clock and internment will be in Riverview cemetery.

Mrs. Penman was taken ill about a week before her death, and though given the most careful attention, continued to grow worse until the end came. In hope that it might prove of help, an operation was attempted Tuesday afternoon by Dr's Cottam, Corcoran and Brownson, the latter a brother in law, who came from Monona, Iowa, for the purpose, but the patient was too low to rally and death followed in a few hours.
