Mrs. Peter Clercx.

Mrs. Peter Clercx died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Bruggemann, southwest of Larchwood, on Sunday, January 7. Death resulted from old age and complications. Mrs. Clercx was a devout Catholic and took much comfort in her last days in her religion.

Her maiden name was Agnes Vrahan. She was born in the province of. Limburg, Ree?den, Holland, on January 9, 1842, and so at the time of her death was two days less than 75 years of age. She was married to Peter Clercx July 25, 1866. In 1879 they left Holland for America, and settled at Galena, Ill., Where they remained for four years and then removed to Potosia, Wis., living there eight years. In the spring of 1892 they came to Inwood and living there one year, settled near Larchwood.

For the past ten years Mr. and Mrs. Clercx made their home with Mrs. Bruggemann. Solemn requiem high mass was celebrated at St. Mary's church by Rev. Father S.P. Roth
