Ole Erickson

Ole Erickson, of Inwood, died in Rock Rapids Tuesday, February 13, 1923. He was born in Norway October 27, 1846. When he was a babe of 2 years, he settled at Argyle, Wis., with his parents. In 1900 he moved to Inwood.

The Inwood Herald pays this tribute to him; "He was a cabinetmaker by trade and conducted a repair shop during the latter part of his residence here. He spent much spare time, in later years, reading, and studying the stars. He was a loyal, honest American citizen and a great friend of the birds and squirrels. He was quite often spoken of as "Uncle Ole". He was a very kindly disposed old gentleman who bore his troubles as well as his pain without complaining and he was appreciative of any act of kindness shown him. He was a victim of rheumatism for many years.

Three children survive him, all living near Argyle, Wis.
