Martin Vust died Monday, March 26, 1923, at George at the age of 68, leaving to mourn his passing his wife, five sons and six daughters.

The funeral was held the following Friday at the First Baptist church, services being eonducted by Rev. D. Lansma, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Rev. J. Jordan. Interment was in the church cemetery.

The deceased man was born in Germany Feb. 6, 1855. He was united in marriage to Miss F. Wallrichs in 1876, and fourteen children were born to them. They came to the United States in 1882, settling in Grundy county, Ia. Later they moved to a farm near Little Rock and from there moved to George. He helped found the German Baptist church north of George.
