Joseph King, brother of Ross King, of Rock Rapids, and father of Rosille King, of Edna, died Thursday, April 5, 1923, at his home north of Boyden after a three weeks illness with the flu. He had been troubled with cancer of the liver for some time.

Interment was at Boyden beside the body of his, wife, who passed away about two years ago.

Mr. King was 69 years of age and had lived in this part of the county for about forty yéars. He was well liked by all who knew him. He is mourned by the following sons amd daughters: Joseph F. King Savannah, Mo.; Rosille King, Edna; Mrs. A. L. Schirm and Nelson King Canton, S. D.; Misses Dorothy and Cordelia King, who are attending school at Cherokee. Brothers and sisters are Ross King, Rock Rapids; Israel King and Mrs.Cordelia McCapes, Vermillion, S. D., and Mrs. Jennie Hillers, Des Moines.
