Harold Willis Groenewold, nown to everyone as Bud was born December 4, 1926, west of George, Iowa. He passed away May 22, 1951, at the Sibley hospital, as a result of a motorcycle accident at the age of 24 years, 5 months and 18 days.

Bud was on his way to town to pick up parts for a tractor, when he turned out to meet an on-coming car and hit a soft spot in the road. The motorcycle plunged into the ditch and threw him against a light pole.

Bud finished grade school and since remained at home and helped his parents on the farm. He attended church and Sunday school at the First Lyon County Presbyterian church. We mourn not as those who have no hope. Bud accepted Christ as his personal Savior 4 years ago, and in recent months confided to his parents and many others, of his living faith in Christ. Never forget that Jesus calls us one by one and it was his time to be called for his work on earth was done.

Bud leaves his parents and sisters, Mrs. Art (Arlene) Klaahsen, Shirley and Glenda at home. One niece, Margy Ann, and his fiancé, Shirley Fisher of Little Rock, Iowa, and grandmother and grandfather Blau and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Bud will be greatly missed by his many neighbors, friends and relatives with his great desire and pleasing smile to lend a helping hand to others.
