Funeral services were held from the Hope Reformed church southwest of George, Iowa on Tuesday afternoon of this week, for Rudolph Riebeling of Alvord, former resident of George, who took his own life by hanging himself in a small building near his home in Alvord. Mr. Riebeling had been in poor health for some time.

Rudolph Augustus Riebeling was born on June 23, 1920, near Hull, Iowa, youngest son of Meta and John Riebeling and died July 13, 1951. His boyhood days were spent near Hull, and attended the rural school in that area. He attended St. Paul Lutheran church and received religious instruction and was confirmed in that church, at Hull.

On January 24, 1945, he was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Scholten. Three children were born to them. On June 10, 1946, Mr. and Mrs. Riebeling joined the Hope Reformed church and was a member until his death.

Mr. Riebeling, by his own hand, leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, three children: Mary Lou, Edna Mae and Dale Francis; also his father, John Riebeling of Edna, Iowa; and four brothers: Alfred, Elmer, and Ray of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Waldo of Alvord, Iowa. Also many more relatives and friends.
