Herbert James Klaasen, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Klaassen, died September 22, 1951, Herbert was born August 29, 1951, his presence brightened the home for about three weeks when he became suddenly ill. Everything was done for his recovery but it was not his lot to live. He passed away in a Sioux City Hospital.

He leaves to mourn his early death, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Donald Klaassen, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harm Klaassen of Little Rock, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Blau of George, Iowa.

Funeral services were held in the Zion Rock Rapids Church on Wednesday, September 26.

Ere sun could blight or sorrow fade,

Death came with friendly care;

This opening bud to heaven conveyed,

And bade it blossom there.
