Final rites were held Monday for Mrs. Lucy Mullinix who died Thursday July 30, 1964 at Canton - Inwood Hospital following a lingering illness. Services were at Anderson Funeral Home and at Inwood Christian Reformed Church. Officiants were Rev. Durant Van Oyen and Neal Boersma.
Pall bearers were Billy Mullinix, Eddie Mullinix, Robert Anderson, Larry Mullinix, Mike Mullinix and Nick Nichols. Interment was at Beloit cemetery.
Mrs. Mullinix, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White, was born near Bynumville, Mo., July 31, 1882. She lived in Missouri and was a public school teacher for six years. On October 16, 1907 she was married to Ed Mullinix at Macon, Mo. They moved to Beloit, Iowa in 1909. Mr. Mullinix died in 1935.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Mildred Robbins, Mrs. Myrl Daley, Mrs. Margaret Knapp, Mrs. Mary Hay, Byron, Beeman, Howard, Joy, Robert and Glen Mullinix. Also surviving are a twin brother, a sister, and a half brother, 35 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
