Ed Mullinix passed away at his home southeast of Beloit Tuesday July 23, 1935 at 10:30 a.m. His entire family of ten children and two grandaughters were at the bedside when he died. Mr. Mullinix had been a sufferer of cancer for more than a year but only during the past few weeks had been confined to his bed. Two weeks ago he was taken to the Mayo hospital in Rochester, Minn. but nothing could be done to prolong life.
Others who were with Mr. Mullinix besides his family when the end came were Mrs. Will Howard of Canton, Sherman Gardner and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brandt.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Paul Foster at the home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial was made at the Beloit cemetery. Mr. Mullinix had selected his pall bearers a few days before he passed away. They were Will Tank, Ira Bartholomew and Henry Rierson of Canton, Sherman and Merrill Gardner and Fred Brandt.
