Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, August 6, 1938, for Louise Arends at the First Baptist church southwest of Little rock, Rev. Jordan, pastor of the First Baptist Baptist church, had charge of the English services and Rev. Snuttjer in charge of German services. Rev. Reeverts led in prayer.

Louise Maatilda Arends, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Arends passed away Thursday morning, August 4, 1938 at 2 o’oclock, suffering from leakage of the heart and other complications. She suddenly became quite ill and died at the age of 9 years, 2 months and 19 days. She leaves to mourn besides her parents, three sisters and two brothers, all of them at home, besides her grandfather, Mr. Johnson of Woodstock, and many other relatives. Louise spent all her childhood in Little rock, being born on May 16, 1929. Six of her little schoolmates were pallbearers. Interment was made in the First Baptist Church cemetery.
