Mrs. M. M. Wheatley, who had been seriously ill for the past ten days, passed away Monday afternoon, about 4 o’clock, August 7, 1938.

Mrs. Wheatley was 83 years old, and is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Eva Wells of Clear Lake, Mrs. Marian Broughton of Sibley, four sons, William and Matt of Lapeer, Michigan, Paul of Flint, Michigan, and Albert of Ft. Peck, Montana.

One daughter, Mrs. Youker, and a son preceded her in death a number of years ago.

Mrs. Wheatley was born in England. The past week all members of the family were at her bedside until Saturday, when her son left for Michigan. The other son remained until Sunday noon, when he left, hoping that she would recover.

While in good health, she was a faithful member of the Presbyterian church in Little rock, from which services were held.
