Obituary:

Rock Valley, Iowa - Cathi Hau Thao, 66, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and formerly of Hull, Iowa, died Monday February 23, 2009 at the Lyon Manor at Rock Rapids. Funeral Service was held Saturday at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock Valley. With burial at Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Cathi was born May 13, 1942 at Sonle, Vietnam. She married Than Thao in Laos. Together they came to the U.S.A. and lived at Inwood, Iowa, for three years before moving to Hull. Cathi worked at Formosa Foods at Hull and later for Groschoppe, Inc. at Sioux Center. Than died August 14, 2003. Cathi moved to the Lyon Manor December 29, 2008.

Cathi is survived by her daughter, Cathi Anderson of Sioux City, Iowa; son Pier Didier of Montreal, Canada; five grandchildren; special friends, Tienkham and Hong Lo of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Mae and Clayton Vis of Hull, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Phuc Baccam.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
