Funeral services for Vivian Ageson, 72, of Lester, Lyon county, Iowa, was held September 2, 1992, at the Lester Community Center with interment in Hillside Cemetery.

She died Monday, August 31, 1992 in her home.

Vivian Caroline Oliver was born April 19, 1920 in Sioux Center, Sioux county, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in Sioux Center, graduating from high school in 1937. In 1938, she moved with her family to Lester.

On March 7, 1941, she married Harold “Swede” Ageson in Lester. They operated a trucking business for many years and later they were involved in retails business, including grocer, campers and salvage furniture. In 1967, the converted the Lester Public School building into a furniture store, naming it Ageson Interiors.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert and Paul, both of Lester; two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Sharon) Carolan and Mrs. Roger (Cheryl) Monen, both of Lester; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, and four sisters, Mrs. Duane (Kathleen) Gage of Lester, Mrs. Ceel (Ruth) Vanden Brink of Lansing, Michigan, and Mrs. John (Phyllis) Zeutenhorst and Mrs. Butch (Shirley) Mouw, both of Orange City, Iowa.
