Funeral services for Rev. Clifford A. Thaden, 82, were held August 27, 1992 at First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa, with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery.

De died Saturday, August 22, 1992 in Montgomery, Ohio.

Mr. Thaden was born April 20, 1910 in Bryant, South Dakota. He graduated from Bryant High School in 1928 and from college and seminary at the Mission House of Plymouth, Wisconsin, May 28, 1944.

He was ordained as a minister of the Gospel June 4, 1944, and served churches in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Little Rock, Iowa, Lime Springs and Savannah, Missouri, Winfield, Kansas, Orleans, Nebraska and Rushmore, Minnesota. He retired and moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 1982 where he served the Lost Bridge Chapel until 1990

On August 5, 1930, he married Louisa Bartell at Herman, Minnesota. She died January 25, 1946.

On May 31, 1947, he married Mildred Marie Woodbury in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She died June 1, 1984 in Rogers, Arkansas.

Survivors include five sons, John of Maineville, Ohio, Larry of Verona, Italy, Gene of Charleston, South Carolina, Danny of Orleans, Nebraska and Steven of Enterprise, Kansas; three daughters, Carolyn Klaasen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Claudia Freerks of Rogers, Arkansas and Ruth Ramaker of Inver Grove heights, Minnesota; one step-son, Michel of Crestline, California; one step-daughter, Patricia Albright of Colby, Kansas; 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; three brothers, George of San Luis Obispo, California, and Robert of Minneapolis, Minnesota and two sisters, Dena Plucker of Lennox, South Dakota and Johannah Alberts of Warwick, New York.
