Funeral services for Amanda Schroeder, 93, of Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa, were held September 15, 1992, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood, with interment in Richland Cemetery.

She died Saturday, September 12, 1992 at Fellowship Village of Inwood.

Amanda Serck was born March 16, 1899, near Inwood.

On September 4, 1929, she married Alfred Schroder in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together they owned and operated Amanda’s Place Convenience Store since 1947. Her husband died November 16, 1958.

She retired in 1989 and moved to Fellowship Village in January, 1991.

Survivors include one son, Harlan of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Emil of Inwood and one sister, Clara Wiese of Rock Rapids, Iowa.
