Funeral services for Erna M. Techen, 92, of Hull, Iowa, were held September 14, 1992 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hull, Lyon county, Iowa with interment in the church cemetery.

She died Friday, September 11, 1992 in Pleasant Acres Care Center, Hull.

Erna Schutz was born September 27, 1909 in Parkston, South Dakota. On November 22, 1936, he married Elmer Techen in Parkston.

The farmed in Doon, Lyon county, Iowa and Hull, Iowa and retired to George, Lyon county, Iowa in 1984. She later moved to Hull and in May, 1990, she moved to the care center. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include one son, Ronald of Hull; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Sharon) Boeve of Beaver Creek, Minnesota, and Mrs. Ken (Nancy) Nielsen of Hull; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ben of Washington, and two sisters, Louis Will of Delmont, South Dakota and Viola Daum of Mitchell, South Dakota.
