Funeral services for Dena Kruse (71) of George, Lyon county, Iowa, were held August 24, 1992 at First Baptist Church, rural George, with interment in the church cemetery.

She died Friday, August 21, 1992.

Dena Kanengieter was born June 15, 1921, at Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa. She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1940. She taught rural school for four years and then joined the Cadet Nurse Corps in July, 1947.

On August 29, 1947, she married Harold Kruse.

Dena worked as a registered nurse at Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Osceola county, Iowa.

She attended Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock and First Baptist Church of George.

Survivors include one son, Norma of Kensington, California; one daughter, Mrs. Craig (Stephanie) Schriber of Reno, Nevada; four brothers, Andrew Jr., of Sheldon, Iowa, Elmer and Everon, both of Little Rock and Delbert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and six sisters, Mrs. Wilkie (Mattie) Harms, Mrs. Helen Dammer and Mrs. Don (Arlene) Rickabaugh, all of Little Rock, Mrs. Elmer (Luella) Jager of Sheldon, Iowa, Mrs. Rev. Ray Willemssen (Grace) of Rock Rapids, and Mrs. Harm (Erma) Winter of George.
