Funeral services for Eileen Fitzgerald, 72, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, were held August 13, 1992 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Sioux Falls, with interment in Hills of Rest Memorial Park.

She died Monday, August 10, 1992 in Good Samaritan Center, Sioux Falls.

Eileen Kitchen was born June 11, 1920, in Brookings, South Dakota. She grew up in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa.

On March 27, 1937 she married Raymond Fitzgerald in Canton, South Dakota. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Lee’s Nursing Home, Luther Manor and Good Samaritan Center for several years.

Her husband died in 1987.

She was a member of VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include five sons, Gary, Donald, Paul, Dale and Steve, all of Sioux Falls; four daughters, Sharon Boyles, Mary Fitzgerald, Anna Philips and Susan Chabane, all of Sioux Falls; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, James of Rock Rapids, Jack of Dell Rapids, South Dakota and Art of Loveland, Colorado, and two sisters, Elva Mae Thomas of Hartford, South Dakota and Melba Horner of Seal Beach, California.
