Funeral services for Viola Albertus, 88, or Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa were held June 17, 1992 at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Rock Rapids with interment in Riverview Cemetery.

She died Sunday, June 14, 1992 at Lyon Manor Care Center in Rock Rapids.

Viola Albertus was born in July, 1903 in Hartley, Iowa. She graduated from Rock Rapids High School and from South Dakota State University at Brookings, where she received a bachelor’s degree in home economics.

She did graduate work at the University of Minnesota and the University of Iowa. In 1934 she became librarian for the Rock Rapids Public Library. She retired in 1975.

She became a resident of Lyon Manor Care Center in 1975. Survivors include several cousins.
