Funeral services for Alida Wietzema, 75, of rural Tyler, Minnesota, were held June 17, 1002 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Worthington, Minnesota with interment in Worthington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She died June 14, 1992 at her home near Lake Benton, Minnesota.

Alida Hassebroek was born May 9, 1917, at George, Lyon county, Iowa. She was educated in a country school near George.

On September 5, 1942 she married Sievert Wietzema at South Sioux City, Nebraska. They lived in Little Rock, Lyon county, Iowa unto retiring in 1982 and moving to Lake Benton.

Survivors include her husband; nine sons, Fred and Harold, both of Worthington, Dennis of Tyler, Robert of Watertown, South Dakota, Daryl of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Donald of Mesa, Arizona, David of Wahpeton, North Dakota, Ricky of Putney, New Hampshire and Sievert Jr. of Los Alamos, New Mexico; four daughters: Mrs. Daniel (Linda) Joaquin from Wahpeton and Mrs. Orville (Janet) Nelson of Wahpeton, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Jepsen of Veblen, South Dakota, and Mrs. Tim (Anna) Medenwald of Watertown, South Dakota; 27 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Sylvia Boomgaars of George.
