Funeral services for Sam Moser were held May 27, 1992 at Peach Lutheran Church of Rock Rapids, Lyon County, Iowa, with interment in Hillside Cemetery at Lester, also in Lyon County.

Sam Moser, 85, of Rock Rapids died May 24 at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital, Rock Rapids. He was born October 19, 1906, at Lester.

He married Alice Wynia, February 23, 1933 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

They farmed in the Lester, Rock Rapids and Alvord areas, all in Lyon county. He was also a school bus driver for the Alvord and West Lyon School districts for 17 years. In 1975 they retired to Rock Rapids where he worked summers for the city of Rock Rapids until 1983.

Survivors include his wife; three sons: Eugene of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Duane of Rock Rapids and Glenn of Cary, North Carolina; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brother: Otto and Louis, both of Rock Rapids; Karl of Lester and one sister, Mrs. John (Louise) Tolvstad, Rock Rapids.
