Funeral services for Clara Petersen, 93, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, were held May 25, 1992 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, with interment in Riverview Cemetery. She died May 21, 1992 at Rock Rapids health Centre.

Clara Johnson was born August 23, 1898 in Rock Rapids, and graduated from Wilson High School.

She married William Petersen on February 10. 1931 in Rock Rapids and the couple farmed near there until moving to the town in 1946. They entered Rock Rapids Health Centre in 1984. Her husband died in 1991

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Michael (Dorothy) Radatz and Mrs. Bruce (Ruth) Sizelove, both of Canoga Park, California, and Mrs. Keith (Shirley) Evans of St. Joseph, Missouri; a foster daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Dorothy) Winter of Sioux city; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Emma Vogel of Rock Rapids.
