John Rahn, age 76, of Miami, Florida died on April 27, 1998. Private graveside services were conducted in Pensacola, Florida on May 1, 1998.

Mr. Rahn was born on March 27, 1922 in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, the son of Charles and Berince (Egbert) Rahn. He grew up in Ellsworth, Minnesota. He served for four years in the air force during World War II, enlisting in 1942. He later served in the Air Force Reserve as a Major until 1981.

He attended Florida University at Tallahassee. From 1961 to 1986 he was an instructor at Eastern Airlines.

In 1952 he married Lynne Dawson.

Survivors include his wife; a son; a daughter; one granddaughter and one sister, Helen Francis of Rock Rapids.
