Dudley Eben, age 57, of George, Lyon county, Iowa, died on Wednesday, May 6, 1998 in a Sioux Falls, South Dakota hospital. Funeral Mass was held on Saturday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Sibley, with interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Eben was born on August 20, 1940 in George, Iowa, the son of Fred and Bernice (Behrends) Eben. He grew up near George, attended country school, graduated from Geroge High School in 1959 and began farming.

On December 15, 1973 he married Margaret Mormann. They lived in Sibley, and later returning to George where he worked at Sudenga Industries. He later opened "Duffy's Glass." He was a member of the Moose Lodge #503 in Sioux Falls.

His wife died in 1994.

Survivors include one son, David, of Biwabik, Minnesota; two grandchildren; his fiancee, Elaine Freese of George; one brother, Delmer of Sibley; and one sister, Thea Rae Huygens of Sheldon.
