LONG, JOHN BLOOMQUIST 1903 - 1990
died Saturday March 17, 1990. Age 88 years, 6 months, 16 days
John Bloomquist Long, son of Emma Johnson Long and Charley Long was born September 1, 1903 in rural Larchwood Iowa. He grew up and attended country school there.

John worked and lived on the family farm his entire life. He was an active member of Grandview Covenant Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years.

In addition to his love of the outdoors, John enjoyed visiting with his many friends.

Grateful for having shared his life are his 3 sisters, Mrs. Gilmer (Betty) Hildring, Larchwood, Iowa, Mrs. Sylvia Maass, Garretson, South Dakota and Mrs. Fred (Josephine) Oltmanns of Lennox, South Dakota; 5 brothers, Axel, Palmer and Joseph, all of Sioux Falls, Carl, Harrisburg, South Dakota and David of Larchwood, Iowa; 7 nieces and 11 nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rosella and Amanda and 2 brothers, Ferdinand and Fromalt.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family at the Grandview Covenant Church for fellowship and refreshments following the committal service.

Pallbearers: Eddie Hildring, Mark Long, Loren Long, Tim Long, Dan Long, Paul Hildring.
Interment: Grandview Covenant Cemetery, Rural Larchwood, Iowa
