ROBERTS, WAYNE L. 1921 - 1964
Wayne L. Roberts, 43, a former Minnehaha County deputy sheriff, died Monday morning in Minneapolis. funeral services have been set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Roberts, 814 S. Walts Ave., was born at Larchwood, Iowa, September 17, 1921, and lived there and in that area until coming to Sioux Falls in 1940. He was married to the former Esther Haroldson, December 22, 1942. He entered the Army in 1942, and returned here after his discharge. Mr. Roberts spent more than 15 years in the auto service business here, including being service manager for the Ford and Cadillac garages and operating a service station. He was a past president of a parts and service manager's association.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Jerry and Paul, in service, and John, at home; a daughter, Mary, at home; three sisters, including Mrs. Eugene McEnaney, Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Lewis Holland, Inwood, Iowa and a brother, Donald Roberts, Pipestone, Minnesota. (December 1964)
