Funeral services for Luis Van Dierendonck, 86, of Larchwood, Lyon county, Iowa were held March 16, 1992 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Larchwood with interment in the Larchwood Cemetery.

He died on March 12, 1992 in McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota.

Mr. Van Dierendonk was born November 4, 1905 in Heyst An Zee, Belgium. He moved to the United States in 1920 and lived in the Lester area in Lyon county, Iowa.]

On January 17, 1931, he married Catherine Kerkvliet in Alvord, also in Lyon county. They farmed near Steen and Luverne in Rock county, Minnesota and later near Lester and Larchwood. They retired in 1974 and then operated Van’s Upholstery for many years in Larchwood.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Joseph of DeWitt, Iowa, Albert of Los Altos, California, and John of Hampton, Illinois; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Bangasser of Sioux Falls; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and one brother, Frank Dieren of Rock Rapids, Iowa.
