Funeral services for Leo Friessen of Schuyler, Nebraska were held March 23, 1992 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota with interment in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

Mr. Friessen died March 19, 1992 in the Schuyler Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Friessen was born October 11, 1896 in Larchwood, Lyon county, Iowa. On February 14, 1928 he married Sophie Sauers in Larchwood. He lived and worked in the Larchwood area until moving to Sioux Falls in 1951. He was a painter by trade in both Larchwood and Sioux Falls.

His wife died March 22, 1977. On May 24, 1980 he married Marilyn Bisson in Sioux Falls. They moved to Schuyler in 1991.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Robert of Marathon, Florida, Leonard and Cletus, both of Sioux Falls and Wayne of Yankton, South Dakota; three daughters, Irene Degroot of Orange City, Iowa, Marlene Crowley of Mission Hills, California and JoAnn Friessen of Tulsa Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; for great-grandchildren and three stepchildren.
