Funeral services for Myron Duane Baustian, age 56, of Lansing, Kansas, and formerly of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, were held on Friday morning, August 21, 1981, and on Saturday afternoon in the Jongewaard-Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Burial was in Riverview cemetery.

He died on Tuesday, August 18, 1981 at a Leavenworth, Kansas hospital of a sudden illness.

Baustian was born on October 21, 1924, in Rock Rapids. He graduated from Rock Rapids high school and Augustana College of Sioux Falls, S.Dak. He was a navy veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

On April 16, 1949 he married Bertha Overgaard at Luverne, Minnesota. He worked as a quality control manager at Baystate Milling for 17 years.

Survivors inlcude the widow; two sons, Dale, at home, and Mark of Basehor, Kansas, one daughter, Carol, at home, and three grandchildren.
