Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Roozing, 93, of Doon, Lyon county, Iowa, were held on Friday, June 19, 1981, in the Memorial Funeral Home chapel at Sioux Center, Iowa. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull, Iowa.

She died on Tuesday, June 16, 1981, in a nursing home at Sioux Center.

Gertrude Zipp was born on April 16, 1888, at Orange City. She married Peter Roozing on Feb. 16, 1916 at Rock Rapids, and they lived near Hull before moving to Doon in 1963.

He died in 1970 and she entered the nursing home that same year.

Survivors include three sons: Stanley, Newberg, Oregon, Peter C., Pipestone, Minn., and Corneal, Doon; and a daughter, Mrs. John (Agnes) Hulst, Hull.
