Funeral services for Edna Kahl, age 80, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, will be held here on Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran church. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery under the direction of Van Ginkel Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

She died on Saturday, April 18, 1981, following a sudden illness. Miss Kahl was born on April 13, 1901, in Rock Rapids to Fred and Lisa (Dengler) Kahl. She grew up here, and worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone company for 37 years, retiring in 1960.

Survivors include two brothers, August and Harold, both of Rock Rapids, a sister, Laura Gloe of Rock Valley, and several nieces and nephews.
