Funeral services for Gilbert Klarenbeek, 75, of Luverne, Rock county, Minnesota, were held February 26, 1992 in the American Reformed Church, Luverne with interment in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

He died on February 23, 1992, in his home.

Mr. Klarenbeek was born October 31, 1916 in Hull, Sioux county, Iowa and was raised on the family farm near Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa. He attended school in the Rock Rapids are. He lived and worked on the family farm.

On December 7, 1945 he married Marie Schouwenburg in Steen, Rock county, Minnesota. They farmed south of Rock Rapids until moving near Steen in 1953 where they also farmed. In 1957 the moved to the Magnolia, Rock county, Minnesota area. In 1972 they moved to Luverne where he became semi-retired. While residing in Luverne, he worked at the A. R. Wood Manufacturing and the Luverne Post Office.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Gloria) Nelson of Luverne and Mrs. Jim (Colleen) Spahr of Jackson, Michigan; two grandchildren and one sister, Catherine Hoogers of Rock Rapids.
