Funeral services for Marlene Schwartz, 66, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa were held in the Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids on February 21, 1992 with interment in Riverview Cemetery there.

She died on February 17, 1992 in the Hawarden, Sioux county, Iowa hospital.

Marlene Remme was born December 26, 1925 in Clear Lake, Deuel county, South Dakota. On February 28, 1946 she married John Schwartz in Dakota City, Dakota county, Nebraska.

She was a cook for Hill Top Café and Hess Café in Rock Rapids. She lived in Rock Rapids for 44 years and was a resident of Morningside Manor in Alcester, South Dakota for three years prior to her death.

Survivors include he husband; one son, Steve of Rock Rapids; three brothers, Donald, of Webster City, Iowa, Wayne of Sanborn, Iowa and Gale of Luverne, Minnesota and one sister, Mrs. Don (Yvonne) Erstad of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
