Funeral services for Geessien Aning, 99, of Luverne, Rock county, Minnesota, were held February 10, 1992 in First Presbyterian Church in Luverne, with interment in the Luverne Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She died February 7, 1992 in the Mary Jane Brown Good Samaritan Home in Luverne.

Geessien Dammer was born September 6, 1892 in the Netherlands. She came to America with her parents in 1910 and settled near Rushmore, Nobles county, Minnesota.

On September 10, 1910 she married Jake Aning in Ellsworth, Nobles county, Minnesota. They farmed all their life in Lyon county, Iowa as well as rock and Nobles counties in Minnesota. She had been a resident of the Mary Jane Brown home since 1987.

Survivors include three sons, Sievert and Menno, both of Luverne and Bernard of George, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Dena Tholen of Rushmore, Mrs. Mary Harsma of Worthington, Minnesota, and Mrs. Jennie Johnson and Pearl Anna Aning, both of Luverne, 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
