Memorial services for Kenneth Patton, 77, of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa were held February 5, 1992 at the United Methodist Church of Rock Rapids with interment in the Riverview Cemetery there.

He died February 3, 1992 at Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids.

Mr. Patton was born July 16, 1914 in Rock Rapids, where he grew up and received his education.

On June 2, 1936 he married Ducille Lewis in Sioux Fall, Minnehaha county, South Dakota. He worked for W. S. Steward Trucking Company in Rock Rapids and also trucked with his brother. He was later a self-employed trucker.

In the late 1960s he worked as a mechanic in a dehydration plant in Luverne, Minnesota. He retired in 1979 and worked part-time as a mechanic.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert “Bob” of Castle Rock, Colorado, and Don, or Hardwick, Minnesota; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four sisters, Lucille Lee and Phoebe Hilfterty, both of Sioux Falls; Mary Rilea of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Isabelle Luing of Carleton, Minnesota.
