Funeral services for John “Jack” Harms, 81, of George, Lyon county, Iowa were held January 21, 1992 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in George with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery west of town.

He died Saturday, January 19, 1992 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.

Mr. Harms was born March 3, 1910 near George. He was a life-time resident of the George area.

On May 7, 1930 he married Louise Blum. He owned and operated a feed grinder for 28 years and worked for Sudenga Industries in George until he retired.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Dwayne of Columbus, Nebraska, Ronald of Sioux Rapids, Iowa, Marvin of West Des Moines, Iowa and David of Nampa, Idaho; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Ted, Kenneth and Donald of George, and five sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Schrick, Mrs. Henry (Frances) Van Briesen and Mrs. Lewis (Viola) Heeren, all of George, Mrs. Jane Klinger of Forrest, Illinois, and Mrs. Rose Bengtsen of Oakland, California.
