Rites Being Held Today for Mrs. William Jammer

Last Rites for Mrs. William Jammer, who died Tuesday morning, May 26, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Congregational church. Rev. Ross B. Hartman will give the sermon, with Lockwood Funeral home making the
arrangements.

Mrs. Kenneth Wallace, organist, and Pierre Landman will provide the music. Burial is to be in Riverview cemetery with the grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

Dorothea Kock Jammer, daughter of Fritz and Gertrude Kock, was born April 29, 1867, on the island of Fahmarn, off the coast of Germany, coming to this country at the age of two. She was the only daughter in a family of eight children, and her seven brothers all preceded her in death.

February 3, 1886, she was married to William Jammer. They moved to Rock Rapids about 1910. Mr. Jammer died in 1936.

Eight children were born to the couple: August, Alma (Mrs. E. J. Doss), Wiliam F. (deceased), Emily (Mrs. Earl H. Fisher), all of Rock Rapids; Loretta (Mrs. R. M. Schutz) of Rock Valley; Luella (Mrs. R. R. Julian) of Flandreau, S.D.; Dorothy (Mrs. George B. Sauers) of San Gabriel, Calif., and Viola (Mrs. E. S. Larson) of Joplin, Mo. There are also numerous
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews surviving.
