BRUZER, HELEN
Rock Rapids, Iowa-Helen Josephine Bruzer, 91 died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at the Rock Rapids Health Centre.

Helen Wick was born March 2, 1909, in Lester, Iowa. She grew up and attended school in the town, graduating from Lester High School.

She married John H. Bruzer on Feb. 21, 1927, in Lester. The couple lived in Rock Rapids, where she worked as a clerk at Tony's Associated Market and Berstein's and Row's Department Stores. Her husband died March 18, 1979. She moved to the Rock Rapids Health Centre in 1998.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Golden Age Club and served as a volunteer preparing meals for the Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Daib of Rock Rapids; three grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Roste Funeral Home in Rock Rapids with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church or Lyon County Hospice.
