BENNETT, VIRGIL 1906 - 1976
Funeral services for Virgil Bennett, 70, who died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday, were held at the Grandview Covenant Church Friday afternoon with Rev. David Rushton officiating. Interment was in the Beaver Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Dieters, Virgil Bjork, Calvin Johnson, Richard Scott, Ronald Scott and Mike Moorlach. Mr. Bennett was born at Granite, IA, February 6, 1906, and married Alice M. Jacobson, February 10, 1935, in Valley Springs. They lived in the Granite area and moved to Valley Springs in 1968. Mr. Bennett was a farmer and cattle feeder. Survivors include the widow; his mother, Mrs. Amelia Bennett, three sisters, Bernice and Sylvia, Sioux Falls, and Mrs. Clyde Hansen, Yucaipa, CA, two brothers Dale, San Bernadina, CA and Earl, Oklahoma. A prayer service was held at the Miller Funeral Chapel in Sioux Falls Thursday evening.
