BONANDER, OSCAR 1906 - 1992
Larchwood, Iowa - Oscar Bonander, 85, died Thursday, February 13, 1992 in Rock Rapids Health Care Center, where he had resided since February 10th.Mr. Bonander was born December 24, 1906, in Rowena, the Son of Axel and Olga (Hildring) Bonander. He grew up at Larchwood, and worked for his uncle, Arthur Bonander doing road construction. He later worked for area farmers before farming with his father and brother, Edgar, in the Larchwood area. He sold PHE Hybrids for 22 years.

He was a member of the board of directors of Security Savings Bank in Larchwood for 25 years, and was a lifelong member of Grandview Covenant Church.

Survivors include three brothers; Harold, Russell, and Axel Jr., all of Larchwood; and two sisters; Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Poirier of Orofino, Idaho, and Mildred Hammitt of Apache Junction, Arizona.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Grandview Covenant Church, Larchwood, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. sunday in Roste Funeral Home, Larchwood, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
