PALMBERG, OSCAR 1900-1954
Oscar W. Palmberg, 54, Valley Springs (address, actually lived on Iowa side of the border), died in a local hospital Tuesday afternoon following a year's illness.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Grandview Covenant Church, Larchwood, Iowa. The Rev. Robert Fuchs and the Rev. France Ericson will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Palmberg was born Feb. 2, 1900, at Johnson Berg, PA. He was married to Ethel Swanson, June 19, 1929, at the Grandview Covenant Church. Two years later they moved to Aurora, NE and since 1938, farmed three miles southeast of Rowena.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters; Carolla, Minneapolis; and Evangeline, Valley Springs; five sons, Carl, who is in the Air Force at Laredo, Tex.; Harold, Jon, Paul and Dale, all at home; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Larson, Chicago; Mrs. Ruth Radcliff, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Esther Elge, Aurora; and three brothers, Edwin, Elmer, and Einer, all of Aurora.

Mr. Palmberg was a member of the Grandview Covenant Church where he served as church chairman. He attended the North Park College Academy in Chicago.
