Gordon Willemssen, 65, of Little Rock died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Osceola Community Hospital, Sibley.
Services were Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery.
Mr. Willemssen was born March 14, 1938, in Sibley, the son of Tony and Arlowene (Guertin) Willemssen. He worked at Sibley Egg and Poultry and also drove milk truck.
He served in the army from 1958-1961. He then worked for Sibley Light and Power two years.
On Aug. 2, 1963, he married Myrna Van Dyke at Little Rock. In June 1964, he purchased Skelly Service Station in Little Rock. He sold the station in 1992 but continued to work there.
He was a member of Town and Country Club, Little Rock Fire Department and Buss-Johnson American Legion Post #316. At First Presbyterian Church, he served on the church board and was involved with Sunday School and Youth Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Brad of Sibley, Brian of Jackson, Minn., and Kevin of Terril; one daughter, Mrs. Mike (Jodi) Van Westen of Sibley; seven grandchildren; his mother of Sibley, and one brother, Bill of Storm Lake.
He was preceded in death by his father and Taylor and Nicholas Willemssen.
