Minnie Goldhorn was born on December 21, 1901 at rural George, Iowa. She was the daughter of Hiram and Hattie (Heidebrink) Jansen.

She married Harm Goldhorn on Feb. 14, 1924, and they farmed near George until they retired to town. She was a member of the Hope Reformed Church, and the Priscilla Circle. For the past year she was a resident of the George Good Samaritan Center, where she died on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at the age of 95 years, two months and six days.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene and husband Ira Kruger of George, Iowa; and Dolores and husband Floris Van Tilburg of George. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Grace Snuttjer of George.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers (one as an infant); three sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on March 3, 1997 at Hope Reformed church, rural George, Iowa. Interment was in the Hope Reformed Cemetery. The Bolin Funeral Service, George, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
