Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 2, 1990 at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Minnie Siebrands, at the Hope Reformed Church, rural George, Iowa. Pastor Robert Vander Schaff officiated.

Special music was provided by Merlin Groen, soloist; and the organist was Mrs. Harlyn Stubbe.

Casket bearers included: Dwayne Siebrands, Alan Siebrands, Richard Siebrands, Alan Siebrands, Richard Siebrands, Gary Mengel, Alfred Goldhorn, Elmore Jack Klinkenborg, Ora Kruger and Kenneth Krull.

Interment was at the Hope Reformed Church Cemetery at George. Bolin Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Minnie Siebrands was born on August 5, 1890 at rural George, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Margaret (Harms) Goldhorn. She was a life-long resident of the George area, and attended rural school northwest of George.

She married William Siebrands on Oct. 23, 1912. To this union two children were born. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church.

She died at the home of her daughter on Tuesday, May 29, 1990, at the age of 99 years, nine months and 22 days.

Survivors include her son Peter and Georgia Siebrands of Payson, Arizona; her daughter, Mae (Mrs. Henry Kruse) of George; three grandchildren: Dwayne and Alan Siebrands and Pamela Mengel; five great-grandchildren: Eric, David and Michael Siebrands and Ryan and Michelle Mengel; two brothers, Eilert and Ann Goldhorn of George; and Alvin and Vera Goldhorn of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Christine Bruns of George; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Minnie Goldhorn also of George.

She was preceded indeath by her parents; her husband in 1973; one grandson; three brothers, and five sisters.

Arrangements were by Bolin Funeral Service, George, Iowa.
